About Ocular Oddities

The Lady Octavia is an artist of varied sorts, from surreal visual arts and moody photography, to fanciful upcycled jewelry and textile fashion creations, to the performance arts of sideshow, snakecharming, and bellydance. She resides in Richmond, VA, where she lives in a small and quite magical home with her partner, 4 children, and a small menagerie of other various animals.

Each textile and jewelry creation is one-of-a-kind, upcycled and handmade with love and intention, using almost exclusively post consumer materials. Vintage and antique remnants and salvages are lovingly transformed and given vibrant new lives, reflecting the artist's particular personal philosophies and aesthetic.

Likewise, all visual arts and photography are original and unique creations, pieced together from found objects, antique books and remnants, inks and pigments,  and the mysterious and beautiful world surrounding.
